Position Title: Buyer

Location: Indianapolis, IN 46225

Shift Timing: Mon Friday 40.00 Hours Per Week

Anticipated start date: 1-2 Weeks

Duration: 12 months (Potential extension)

Pay Range: $20.73/hr (W2)

 

Job Description

We are seeking a POC Buyer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in procurement operations, supplier coordination, and stakeholder management and a proven ability to manage task intake, prioritize workflow, resolve invoice issues, and execute purchasing activities to completion.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Build strong relationships with stakeholders through responsive and proactive task execution.

·         Partner with stakeholders across business areas and regions to align on procurement needs.

·         Prioritize and plan daily workflow, managing, monitoring, and reporting task progression through completion.

·         Conduct supplier negotiations as required to meet cost, quality, and delivery objectives.

·         Operate and comply with all Procurement processes, procedures, and controls.

·         Resolve blocked or stalled invoices and coordinate with Accounts Payable and vendors.

·         Manage supplier communications and declarations to meet compliance requirements.

·         Support Global Vendor Master Management activities, including vendor setup and maintenance.

·         Facilitate Non-Disclosure Agreements in coordination with legal and suppliers.

·         Run Request for Quotes and analyze responses to recommend award decisions.

·         Rework and amend Purchase Orders in line with policy and approvals.

·         Manage the task request inbox, triage requests, and ensure timely follow-up.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

·         Associate’s degree with 4+ years of experience, or Bachelor’s with 0–1+ years, or 8+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

·         Eligibility: Must be a U.S. Citizen.

·         Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

·         Organized workflow management and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

·         Foundational procurement experience and familiarity with purchasing processes.

·         Team-oriented mindset with clear career and goal orientation.

Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
