We are hiring a Testing Center Manager to oversee the OR, WA, and MN partner testing labs, with some travel required. You will be managing a team of 8-12 proctors on average.

Primary Responsibilities /Accountabilities/ Essential Functions:

  • Stays current on Testing Center trends nationally to ensure Orbis centers are maintaining high standards.
  • Creates and implements policies for Orbis Testing Centers functionality.
  • Assists in the creation and development of in-person Testing Centers for academic partners.
  • Works with academic partners to develop and maintain success in new and existing Testing Centers.
  • Identifies trends in Orbis Testing Centers and works with Exam Proctors and Office Managers to improve processes.
  • Develops methods to increase student success during exams in collaboration with the academic team and/or Director of Nursing Services (DNS).
  • Researches common methods for violation of academic standards and adjusts Testing Center policies appropriately.
  • Develops Testing Center schedules.
  • Ensures Testing Centers are staffed appropriately to ensure adequate coverage of academic testing needs.
  • Evaluates, enforces, and follows established protocol and policy for the Testing Center to ensure exam integrity and execution of policy.
  • Enables proctoring staff to independently ensure positive student experiences.
  • Monitors data collection and resolution of any issues that arise in the testing center, i.e., student concerns, equipment issues, academic integrity concerns. Collaborates with academic team and DNS to resolve the issue.
  • Tracks student testing anomalies reported by Proctors in both in-person and online testing environments. Reports to academic team.
  • Communicates and educates testing policy and procedures to proctors, students, and faculty.
  • Collaborates with faculty and academic team(s) to schedule student makeup exams.
  • Coordinates with college partner's accommodations department/team to ensure student information is appropriately documented and student needs are met while in the Testing Centers.
  • Analyzes and evaluates testing center attendance.
  • Applies technical knowledge and skills for problem solving, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of process and procedures related to delivery of the in person and online testing center programs.
  • Addresses technology issues that students may experience while testing when proctors are unable to resolve. Escalates these issues to the appropriate team for reconciliation.
  • Works collaboratively and builds relationships with appropriate technology partner helpdesks to investigate ongoing equipment and technology concerns and issues.
  • Maintains and updates knowledge of current operating technology.
  • Tracks inventory and orders supplies for testing center operations.
  • Resolves conflicts or complaints from students, faculty, and staff (employees).
  • Other duties to ensure the overall health and success of the Testing Centers.

Experience/ Education

Required

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Three years progressive supervisory experience
  • Must successfully pass a background check.

Preferred

  • Experience in a higher education environment
  • Experience with Learning Management (LMS) and Learning Content Management Systems (LCMS) is strongly preferred, but not required.
