Job description

Job Summary:
Solect Energy is a leading provider of solar and energy storage solutions for various sectors in the Northeast. The Senior Developer will be a key contributor to the IS&T team, focusing on designing and implementing solutions within Salesforce and the Microsoft ecosystem to enhance business processes.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Design, develop, test and deploy solutions primarily within Salesforce (Apex, LWC, Flow, integrations) and the Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint) to support business processing needs.
โ€ข Partner with business stakeholders to elicit, document and refine requirements for new features and process improvements; translate requirements into actionable technical designs.
โ€ข Evaluate existing business processes and systems; recommend and implement improvements that increase efficiency, reduce manual effort or leverage AI and automation capabilities.
โ€ข Research and assess emerging technologies, including AI platforms and tools, to identify opportunities for adoption that align with business objectives.
โ€ข Perform unit testing, support UAT, assist with release management, and ensure quality and documentation standards are maintained across delivered solutions.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Proficient in one or more object-oriented or scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java, Apex, or similar)
โ€ข Demonstrated experience building and integrating solutions within a CRM or business process platform
โ€ข Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft 365 environment (Teams, SharePoint, Power Platform, etc.)
โ€ข Ability to gather, analyze and document business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
โ€ข Experience working directly with end users and business stakeholders to define solutions
โ€ข Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences
โ€ข Proven ability to manage projects independently from requirements through deployment
Preferred:
โ€ข Salesforce Developer Certification (e.g., Platform Developer I or II); equivalent hands-on Salesforce experience (Apex, SOQL, Lightning Web Components, Flow) will also be considered
โ€ข Experience with AI tools, platforms, or APIs (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, OpenAI, or similar) and ability to apply AI to automate or augment business processes
โ€ข Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies and tools such as JIRA
โ€ข Experience with data integration, REST/SOAP APIs, and third-party system connectivity
โ€ข Background working in a small, cross-functional team where members are expected to wear multiple hats
