What You'll Be Doing:
• Participate in Design for Automation (DFA) and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) activities
• Define manufacturing processes for new product launches, including equipment, monitoring, and data collection
• Evaluate and justify process solutions based on cycle time studies, labor costs, and capital investment
• Implement production equipment aligned with product launch schedules using internal and external resources
• Develop and maintain documentation including PFMEA, Control Plans, Work Instructions, Cpk studies, and validation reports
• Analyze and resolve process issues using root cause analysis and Design of Experiments (DOE)
• Monitor production lines and drive improvements in first-pass yield and throughput
• Train production personnel on new or improved processes
• Collaborate with Product Design Engineering to understand critical product characteristics
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in existing production cells
What We're Looking For:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field)
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering environments
• Experience supporting new product development and legacy production lines
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation, and improvement methodologies
• Understanding of safety regulations within industrial manufacturing environments
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Bonus Points If You Have:
• Experience with automated manufacturing systems such as robotics, PLCs, and vision systems
• Familiarity with laser marking technologies
• Experience with MES and ERP systems (Oracle, Ignition)
• Experience with CAD tools such as Solid Edge Mechanical or Electrical
• Background in value-added assembly processes
