Job description

Position Summary
Seeking an experienced Process Engineer to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of ethylene oxide (EO) and specialty chemical manufacturing processes. This role will focus on process optimization, troubleshooting, process safety, and continuous improvement while partnering with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide technical support for ethylene oxide and related chemical processes.
* Troubleshoot process and equipment issues to improve safety, reliability, and production performance.
* Lead process improvement and optimization initiatives to increase yield, efficiency, and throughput.
* Support Process Safety Management (PSM) programs, including HAZOPs, MOCs, and incident investigations.
* Analyze process data and recommend solutions to improve operational performance.
* Support capital projects, startups, and commissioning activities.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
* 5+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing.
* Direct experience with ethylene oxide production, ethoxylation, EO derivatives, surfactants, or related petrochemical processes.
* Strong knowledge of OSHA PSM and process safety principles.
* Experience with process troubleshooting, optimization, and continuous improvement.
* Familiarity with DCS/process control systems.
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
* 8+ years of relevant industry experience.
* Experience in specialty chemicals or highly hazardous chemical processes.
* Knowledge of Aspen Plus, Aspen HYSYS, or similar process simulation software.
* Six Sigma certification or continuous improvement experience.
