POSITION STRUCTURE
Reports To: Facilities Manager, Jeannette Vega
Category: Part Time, 5 to 10 hours per week
Work schedule: To be determined based on intern availability, July 13 through August 31, 2026

POSITION SUMMARY
The Operations Intern works with the Facilities Manager to keep the spaces, structures, and infrastructure of Soul City Church in proper operating conditions in a routine, scheduled, and anticipated fashion to prevent failure and/or degradation of Soul City's property. This role will also assist with light administrative support for the Operations department as time allows.


This internship position is open to high school students for the summer of 2026. The internship is designed to give a young leader an introduction to how a church operations department functions, with an emphasis on hands on facilities work and exposure to basic administrative processes.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Help prepare room set up and tear down as needed for meetings, events, and Sunday gatherings.
  • Provide physical labor for general organization and maintenance functions, including minor repairs, painting, wall hangings, and stocking and organizing materials to maintain a clean and orderly facility.
  • Assist with light administrative tasks for the Operations department as needed
  • Maintain a safe and hospitable environment for our guests, attenders, and staff during scheduled hours.
