Job Title: Business Process Automation & Workflow Intern
Clearance Required: None
Work Location: Tysons Corner, VA
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
The Business Process Automation & Workflow Intern will support Alpha Omega’s corporate operations by helping design and automate internal workflows that improve efficiency and process management. This role focuses on identifying opportunities for automation and supporting the development of workflow solutions using tools such as Microsoft Power Apps and related automation technologies. 
 
The intern will work closely with business stakeholders to understand process requirements, document workflows, and assist in developing technology-driven solutions that streamline internal operations. This internship provides hands-on experience in process improvement, automation tools, and business workflow design. 
 
  • Work with internal teams to identify and document business processes that require automation 
  • Assist in designing workflow solutions to improve operational efficiency 
  • Support development of automation solutions using Microsoft Power Apps or similar tools 
  • Document process requirements and workflow diagrams 
  • Participate in requirement gathering sessions with stakeholders 
  • Help test and refine automation tools and workflow designs 
  • Assist with documenting and improving internal operational procedures 
  • Business Development:
  • Support business development through targeted research and analysis of federal agencies, contracts, competitors, and market trends to inform opportunity identification and strategic decision-making.
  • Through this work, they will gain exposure to the Government Contracting (GovCon) industry, including how procurements are structured, evaluated, and awarded, and how companies position themselves to win federal work.
  • The role will strengthen critical thinking and analytical skills by requiring the intern to synthesize data, assess risks and opportunities, and translate complex information into clear, actionable insights for leadership.
Required Qualifications:
  • Strong interest in technology, process improvement, and automation 
  • Ability to analyze requirements and document workflows 
  • Strong organizational and communication skills 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams 
  • Interest or exposure to Microsoft Power Apps, workflow tools, or low-code platforms is preferred
