Lead the Future of Clean Energy Manufacturing
TRISO-X is seeking an Engineering Leader . TRISO-X is a first-of-its-kind nuclear fuel fabrication facility manufacturing TRISO coated-particle fuel. This is a strategic leadership opportunity to shape processes from the ground up, driving environmental stewardship and operational efficiency across the entire facility lifecycle.
Your Impact:
Direct and mentor a team of engineering professionals developing innovative methods to process and disposition all waste streams generated by TRISO-X operations. Lead resource planning, team development, and organizational strategy for the Waste & Recovery engineering group. Support all phases of the TRISO-X program: design, licensing, construction, and operations
Nuclear experience is not required. We're looking for proven engineering leaders with strong technical judgment, team-building skills, and a passion for solving complex environmental and process challenges.


Job Profile Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Support the execution of the process engineering detailed design, build, testing, installation, and operation of process equipment across assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program / project requirements.

    • Process areas may include but are not limited to ADUN production, organic solution preparation, solution-gelation, solvent washing, particle drying, TRISO layer application, graphite matrix production, overcoating, fuel core processing, green pebble pressing, compact pressing, shaping, heat treatment, quality control, industrial waste process, radioactive waste processing and uranium recovery.

  • Supports with the management of the utilization of engineering resources across multiple projects and ensures qualified engineers are performing assigned work.

  • Lead design cycle sprints and provide direction to ensure the convergence of efforts of engineering team members, partners, and suppliers to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality engineering work products are on schedule and within budget as defined by the Engineering and Project leadership.

  • May manage process engineering staff by ensuring staff are meeting expectations and promoting staff professional development.

  • Lead the development of specifications for process equipment and work with equipment suppliers to ensure critical design characteristics are met for equipment delivery.

  • Lead subcontractors and suppliers to design, construct, deliver, and install process equipment.

  • Influences and supports the development of strategy, methodology and technical tools for the area of responsibility, including control of resources and policy formulation.

  • Work within a multidisciplinary engineering team to create the next generation nuclear reactor technologies.

  • Perform work in accordance with design control procedures, ensuring thorough documentation of work, facilitation of internal and external design reviews, and control of product design configuration data.

  • Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Job Profile Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, nuclear engineering, material science engineering, mechanical engineering, or related discipline from an accredited university or college.

  • Typically, seven plus years of professional experience in engineering after completion of undergraduate study. Graduate degrees typically count as two plus years of experience.

  • One to three years' experience in CAD and/or P&ID is required.

  • Two years of experience managing people, preferred.

Work Site Expectations: 5 days a week in office

Travel: 10%

Hours:8:00am-5:00pm, Mon-Fri

Compensation

Individual candidates who meet the job requirements for the posted position will be offered a salary within this range based on their respective levels of education/training, experience, and other qualifications unique to them. Salary ranges may vary based on the specific office location and region referenced in the posting to take into consideration differences in cost of living and may not be reflective of all regions. Please note that compensation ranges listed for US job postings reflect base salary only and do not include benefits or other incentives.

Offers within the posted salary range are commensurate with the individual's qualifications for the position, along with a view on internal equity, market data, and room for growth. The salary range for this position is:

$104,500 - $165,000
