Purpose:
You will provide process engineering services to Worley and its customers, including technical support and supervision within the process engineering team.
Responsibilities:
  • The overall supervision of the Process disciplines work on a project.
  • Technical direction, advice, and control of the Process work.
  • Liaison with client discipline representatives to establish technical direction where not provided by codes & standards.
  • Scope definition, estimation, and progress control of the Process engineering activities.
  • Planning of man hour budgets, schedules, manpower loadings and staffing requirements, by skill and experience, to satisfy project requirements and direction given by the Engineering Manager.
  • Co-ordination of Process engineering design and drafting.
  • Complete complex process design activities including simulation.
  • Liaison with other discipline Lead engineers on technical issues and engineering matters.
  • Assisting asset/client Lead Project Engineers in the definition of the Process engineering work in any project, design approach and criteria, procedures for engineering work and timely production of deliverables.
  • Co-ordination and preparation of input to Essential Process Documents, as defined by the client/ contract. Where responsibility for updating the Master Documents is handed to the Lead Process Engineer, procedures shall be put in place to maintain document integrity.

What you will bring
Technical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements:
  • Highly effective technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Worley and its customers.
  • A sound knowledge of the fundamental requirements of the process engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields.
  • A sound knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Competent use of process engineering specific software.
  • Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
  • Substantial technical land practical experience in process engineering in the same or similar industry including experience in working in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Expert knowledge of process simulation packages such as HYSYS or PRO 11.

Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree or master's degree in chemical engineering or related field or equivalent.

Preferred:
  • 8 plus years' experience.
  • Experience in petrochemical and refining with project design, execution, construction.
  • At least 3 years in petrochemical and refining with project design, execution, construction.
  • On-site and/or in-refinery experience.
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status.
