As a Business Process Improvement Consultant, you'll combine process improvement, data analytics, Lean principles, and project leadership to solve complex business challenges across one of Montana's leading healthcare systems. Healthcare is changing quickly, and we're looking for a Business Process Improvement Consultant who enjoys solving complex problems, analyzing data, and improving the way healthcare is delivered.
In this highly visible process improvement role, you'll partner with executive leaders, physicians, and operational teams across our health system to identify opportunities, improve performance, and lead initiatives that make a measurable difference for patients and caregivers.
No two days are the same. You might improve patient flow in Imaging, analyze Surgical Services productivity, build executive dashboards, or lead a Lean improvement initiative. You'll work across a variety of departments, using data, collaboration, and process improvement principles to solve meaningful business challenges.

What You'll Do
As a Business Process Improvement Consultant, you will:
  • Lead enterprise-wide process improvement and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with executive leaders and operational teams to improve quality, productivity, efficiency, and patient experience.
  • Analyze complex data to identify trends, opportunities, and measurable outcomes.
  • Build dashboards and reporting tools that support informed decision-making.
  • Apply Lean, continuous improvement, and operational excellence principles to redesign workflows and improve performance.
  • Lead cross-functional projects from discovery through implementation.
  • Facilitate process mapping, workflow redesign, and change management efforts.
  • Coach leaders and teams on process improvement and Lean methodologies.

Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering, Business, Healthcare Administration, Analytics, or a related field, or five (5) years of relevant experience.
  • Experience leading process improvement, operational excellence, Lean, or performance improvement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience interpreting complex data.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and project management abilities.
  • Experience with dashboard development and executive reporting.

Preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
