Job Description

The TT Process Engineering Manager will:

Coordinate the development and improvement of processes with respect to stabilization, cost reduction and variance reduction in the plant. Special focus on continuous improvement projects, Six Sigma, TQM, TPM.  Actively participate in developing, monitoring, and improving processes throughout the plant. Develop engineers driving process improvements in their business teams.  Lead and develop culture of structured problem solving for efficiency and cost reduction activities. 

IMPROVEMENT OF PRODUCT AND PROCESS: 

Driving force in the continuous improvement of systems and processes throughout the MTV plant with focus on process improvement and cost.  Develop monitoring systems to identify trends and anomalies, including green/cured waste, and insure reduction countermeasures are developed.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT, Six Sigma, KAIZEN, TQM, TPM:

Assist in improvement initiatives in Six Sigma, Kaizen, TQM and TPM. 

 Act as a team leader on other work group teams and manage, identify, develop, and implement continuous improvement projects.

PLANT MANAGEMENT:

 Assist production managers in trouble shooting of manufacturing processes.  Act as liaison to central process engineering organization for project work.

Coordinate process engineering activities between the MTV plant and other corporate entities.

While performing the above duties, Adhere to all safety and environmental rules and regulations.

Ensure all ESH procedures, policies and legal requirements are implemented and monitored.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technical area or 10 years related manufacturing experience

5+ years QA or tire engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering

Environment:

  • The job is within a non-climate controlled environment where you will be exposed to temperature swings (hot/cold), forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise. 
  • The role involves various physical tasks, including ability to walk long distances, climb stairs, stoop/bend, work in a hi-heat environment. Ability to manipulate a Truck Tire.
  • Some lifting required in the medium to heavy range.
  • Work any shift or hours to accomplish job task.
  • Travel as required.

The starting annual salary for this role is $112,176 a year.

Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
