CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for a Process Engineer II.

Type: Contract

Job Title: Process Engineer II

Location: Tolleson, AZ
Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Tolleson, AZ

Pay Rate: Based on experience

Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm

Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or another STEM field required.

Description

The Process Engineer II will provide hands-on engineering support in a manufacturing environment, identifying equipment, product, process, and operational issues and implementing practical corrective actions to improve safety, quality, reliability, efficiency, and process stability.

The Process Engineer will work closely with operations, maintenance, quality, engineering, and external vendors to troubleshoot issues, analyze process data, identify root causes, and implement sustainable improvements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or another STEM field
• Minimum of 2 years of professional Process Engineer experience in a manufacturing plant or similar industrial environment
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting equipment, product, process, and operational issues
• Experience identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with operations, maintenance, quality, engineering, and vendors
• Commitment to safe work practices and compliance with plant procedures
• Willingness to spend considerable time on the manufacturing floor walking, standing, and engaging with operators

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of professional Process Engineer experience in a manufacturing plant; academic experience does not qualify toward this requirement
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot manufacturing equipment, processes, products, and operations
• Experience analyzing data and process conditions to identify root causes and improvement opportunities
• Ability to recommend, implement, and verify corrective actions
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to document technical findings, risks, and recommendations
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work onsite in Tolleson, AZ

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience with root cause analysis, Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, DOE, or other continuous improvement methodologies
• Familiarity with manufacturing systems, process controls, data analysis tools, and production performance metrics
• Experience supporting equipment start-up, troubleshooting, commissioning, qualification, or process optimization
• Mechanical aptitude and experience working directly on a manufacturing floor
• Experience improving quality, uptime, throughput, and process stability
