Job description

Principal Associate, All Associate Survey Process Lead
The All Associate Survey (AAS) is the "Voice of the Associate" at Capital One. We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented leader to run the survey process and serve as the primary face of the program for our internal customers.
This is a high-visibility opportunity within the People Strategy & Analytics team. In this role, you are the "Voice of the AAS" for the enterprise. You'll ensure the survey launches perfectly, manage who has access to the data, and spend significant time helping HRBPs, Chiefs of Staff, and leaders understand their results. Your work ensures they can drive real change across the company to keep Capital One a "Great Place to Work."
Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive Survey Execution: Manage the end-to-end logistics of the survey. You'll keep the vendor and the internal team on track, ensuring every milestone is met for a seamless associate experience.
  • Partner for Impact: Lead regular office hours and training sessions to help HRBPs, Chiefs of Staff, and leaders navigate and interpret their results dashboards.
  • Act as the Gatekeeper: Manage the complex permissions and records required to ensure survey data is secure and handled appropriately.
  • Support the Enterprise: Act as the primary subject matter expert, answering daily questions from associates and leaders at all levels.
  • Enable Self-Service: Create and maintain simple, clear user guides and resources that help our partners find answers quickly.
  • End-to-End Workflow Redesign: Champion the holistic redesign of work processes and structures by deploying intelligent automation across repetitive processes while focusing on achieving system-level efficiency.

Success looks like:
  • Precision & Ownership: A history of running high-stakes projects where accuracy and flawless execution are non-negotiable.
  • Customer Focus: A strong desire to help others. You will be the go-to expert for the enterprise, spending much of your time troubleshooting and guiding stakeholders.
  • Teaching & Training: The ability to lead "office hours" and explain dashboards or data to partners with varying levels of technical expertise.
  • Clear Communication: The ability to stay organized under pressure and socialize timelines and requirements to large groups.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or Military experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in project or process or program management
  • At least 2 years of experience in Learning and Development or Human Resources or a combination of both

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience partnering with vendors to ensure they meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work
  • Experience managing strict access lists and maintaining clean documentation for audit and privacy purposes
  • Experience writing or managing company-wide communications
  • Hands-on experience with survey software or data visualization platforms
  • Experience working in HR or Chief of Staff team

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $108,900 - $124,300 for Principal HR Associate
Richmond, VA: $98,900 - $112,900 for Principal HR Associate
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
