To strengthen our motivated Offset Printing Team at our plant in Indianapolis, IN we are looking for a highly competent Press Assistant.
Your Role
  • You will perform thorough area clearance to ensure product separation and prevent product mix-ups
  • You will read, interpret, and understand job tickets to determine correct job setup and production requirements
  • You will acquire, load, and stage materials according to the production schedule, returning unused materials promptly and accurately
  • You will inspect, mount, remove, deface, and properly dispose of printing plates in accordance with quality and compliance standards
  • You will set up and adjust guides and press components to ensure consistent quality output
  • You will monitor press operations and keep equipment running smoothly during operator breaks and lunch periods
  • You will perform wash-up and cleanup activities on presses following completed orders
  • You will safely operate fork trucks and roll trucks to move materials and finished goods
  • You will maintain accurate production and material records by following good documentation practices
  • You are committed to supporting safety goals by maintaining a clean, organized, and clutter-free work area and promptly reporting unsafe conditions
  • You will comply with all environmental, OSHA, and safety requirements, including the proper use of personal protective equipment
  • You will support the team by performing other duties as reasonably assigned to meet production needs

Your Profile
Required:
  • You have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • You bring at least six months of general work experience and a strong work ethic
  • You have basic math and computer skills and are comfortable working with production data and systems
  • You are detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality, safety, and doing the job right the first time
  • You communicate effectively in both written and spoken English
  • You are physically capable of lifting up to 80 pounds as part of your daily work

Desired:
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, detail-driven production environment
  • You bring experience working in regulated or quality-focused environments, ideally within cGMP pharmaceutical printing or packaging (preferred)
