Job description


Job Summary:

  • As a feeder operator you will be responsible for assisting the pressman in operating and maintaining the offset printing press in an efficient and safe manner.

JOB FUNCTIONS:Job functions include but are not limited to the following.

  • Operate the Feeder; set up loads, set top and side guides, identify good and bad loads, hang plates on printing press
  • Challenge run speed throughout the shift and during each job change
  • Ensure that all daily management boards, dashboards, housekeeping and 5S check lists and completed accordingly for your shift
  • Ensure that appropriate contact relief is made and machine hand-off occurs during shift changes
  • Makes adjustments on machines and ensures that all mechanical parts are running smoothly
  • Fixes and cleans all machines (preventive maintenance and other general repairs)
  • Responsible for understanding and adhering to all GMP, safety, and HACCP.
  • Any other reasonable request from management

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Computer skills
  • 1-2 years of printing experience
  • Must be able to work 3rdshift with occasional overtime. (10:45pm-7:15pm)
  • Must be able to lift 35lbs
  • Must be able to push/pull 45lbs.
  • Must be able to wear the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which includes; safety glasses, steel toed-shoes, ear plugs and cut resistant gloves.
