Job description

About the role:
As a Principal Project Controls Specialist, you will be responsible for project control scheduling activities. These activities will involve low to high complexity projects, a portfolio of low complexity projects, or a subset of high complexity projects or programs scope.
You will report to the Manager of Projects and be located at Shoreview, MN. This position can be 100% remote.
We would prefer a candidate local to the greater Minnesota area.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize project scheduling databases, manufacturing work management systems and the ERP system to develop and maintain project schedules.
  • Lead schedule review meetings with project teams consisting of Project Managers, Engineering and Manufacturing.
  • Establish schedule baselines and track schedule adherence performance.
  • Be the project controls subject matter expert focusing on project scheduling.
  • Must have advanced skills in communication, cross-cultural awareness and leadership.
  • Apply tools and techniques to plan work such that you reduce inefficiencies, and you improve overall project scheduling performance.
  • Promote teamwork which includes maintenance and sharing of project schedules and to ensure team, customer, and all stakeholders are kept informed of project scheduling status,
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for improvement, lessons learned for future work.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in project management, Engineering, Business, Accounting, Construction Management or related technical discipline
  • 6+ years of experience in the position functional/technical area
  • Primavera scheduling experience required.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $103,200 to $129,000 per year.
