WHAT WE NEED:

Project Controls Cost Analyst

The Cost Analyst is a key member of project controls teams responsible for providing critical support and expertise in managing, analyzing, and reporting on various aspects of projects to ensure its success. The role involves monitoring project performance, cost, and progress to ensure successful project execution. The Project Controls - Cost Analyst collaborates closely with project managers, engineers, stakeholders, and other team members to maintain project efficiency, identify potential risks, and make data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain project budgets, cost estimates, and forecasts.
  • Track and analyze project expenses, ensuring they align with approved budgets.
  • Identify cost variances and provide recommendations for cost optimization.
  • Monitor and manage change orders and their impact on project budgets.
  • Implement project progress tracking systems and tools.
  • Regularly update project status reports and performance metrics.
  • Provide timely and accurate reports to project stakeholders and management.
  • Monitor project key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze trends
  • Identify potential risks and uncertainties that may impact project outcomes.
  • Conduct risk analysis and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
  • Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure risk management procedures are followed
  • Maintain project cost documentation, including cost reports and change orders.
  • Ensure document version control and accessibility for all project stakeholders.
  • Facilitate effective communication between project teams and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate meetings and workshops related to project controls activities.
  • Provide support in resolving conflicts and ensuring a unified project approach.
  • Collaborate with project management to ensure clear project objectives and scope.
  • Conduct performance analysis on completed projects to identify areas of improvement.
  • Continuously improve project controls cost analysis processes and methodologies.

WHO WE NEED:

  • 5+ years of experience in project controls, project management, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Deltek, Power BI, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently as needed.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
