General Information/Job Summary
To provide comprehensive cost control, reports and forecasts to project management and support the overall success of the project.
Responsibilities/Competencies
  • Develop and maintain multiple project cost reports (both internal & client) on a weekly basis.
  • Develop and maintain multiple reports on weekly and monthly labor progress and performance reports (both internal and client), project cost tracking reports for indirect labor, rental equipment, and subcontracts.
  • Assist with development and maintenance of change management system including change orders, budget shifts, and trends including contingency management.
  • Timely and accurate forward-looking analysis and mitigation plan development to reduce or eliminate unforeseen cost impacts.
  • Actively participate in bi-weekly or monthly reviews of all cost controls deliverables with the project team.
  • Assist management in forecasting the project expected costs for monthly reporting.
  • Develop and maintain budgets in progress tracking tool.
  • Assist with auditing payroll coding on a weekly basis.
  • Perform data audits to ensure accuracy of information.
  • Liaison with the procurement and billing departments
  • Conduct costs corrections.
  • Understand earned value management systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • 5+ years Experience in project controls, cost management, trend and change management, and/or project management experience with an EPC contractor or in the Oil and Gas Industry preferable.
  • Degree in engineering or construction management in lieu of experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of tools a must, especially Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey information.
  • Ability to work within a team as well as independently while prioritizing a large volume work and maintaining the highest quality.
  • Must be able to work fast track and meet deadlines.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Subject to background check and drug screen

Physical Requirements
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, to include but not limited to:
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time and work on a computer.
  • Ability to travel to job sites to perform job duties, including walking construction site for progress audits.
  • Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
