Project Analyst
Houston, TX (Hybrid)

6-12 Month Contract with Potential Extension

Are you a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working at the intersection of project management, finance, and operations? We are seeking a Project Analyst to support a large Cybersecurity portfolio by helping manage procurement activities, financial tracking, project reporting, and budget forecasting.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys partnering with project teams, finance leaders, procurement organizations, and vendors to ensure projects stay on track and budgets remain aligned.

What You'll Do

As a Project Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting financial operations and project execution across a portfolio of cybersecurity initiatives.

Responsibilities
Support cybersecurity leadership with procurement administration and financial tracking activities
Assist with project planning, scheduling, resource coordination, and dependency tracking
Submit and track purchase requests, change orders, contracts, and goods receipts
Monitor procurement workflows and ensure timely processing of approvals and transactions
Support monthly accrual processes and budget forecasting activities
Maintain procurement and financial tracking logs, ensuring data accuracy and completeness
Coordinate with Finance, Procurement, project teams, and vendors to resolve issues and remove blockers
Prepare status reports highlighting risks, open items, forecast impacts, and key decisions
Monitor project timelines, milestones, deliverables, and resource requirements
Escalate financial or procurement issues that may impact project delivery or budget forecasts
Develop reporting and dashboards that provide visibility into project financial performance and portfolio health
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Project Management, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
2+ years of experience as a Project Analyst, PMO Analyst, Financial Analyst, Procurement Analyst, or similar role
Experience supporting project financial management, procurement operations, purchase order tracking, or PMO reporting
Strong understanding of purchase requests, purchase orders, change orders, invoices, accruals, and forecasting processes
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, reconciliation, reporting, filtering, and pivot tables
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience working with cross-functional teams including Finance, Procurement, PMO, Technology, and external vendors
Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies
Preferred Experience
Experience using Workday, Smartsheet, Planview, and Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of procurement and financial tracking processes within Workday
Experience supporting PMO budget forecasting and project spend management
Background maintaining procurement logs, project reporting, and process documentation
