Job description

Primoris Pipeline is seeking a qualified NCCCO 70-Ton Crane Operator to join our team on a project in Cameron, LA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a 70-ton crane in accordance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company procedures. The operator will support pipeline construction projects by safely and efficiently lifting, moving, and positioning materials and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a 70-ton crane as per NCCCO certification standards, ensuring safe and precise movement of loads.
  • Conduct daily inspections and maintenance checks on crane equipment, reporting any issues or malfunctions to supervisors.
  • Read and interpret load charts, lifting plans, and site maps to determine appropriate lifting techniques and configurations.
  • Work collaboratively with riggers, signal persons, and site supervisors to coordinate lifts and ensure safety.
  • Maintain accurate records of crane operations, lifts performed, and maintenance activities.
  • Follow all OSHA, NCCCO, and company safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and adherence to site-specific safety requirements.
  • Assist with site setup, teardown, and relocation of crane as needed.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations and participate in site safety meetings.
Qualifications
  • Valid NCCCO Crane Operator Certification for 70-ton capacity cranes.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience operating cranes in construction or industrial environments.
  • Strong knowledge of crane operations, load charts, rigging, and signaling.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with hydraulic and lattice boom cranes.
  • Familiarity with heavy equipment operation and site logistics.
  • CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish) are a plus.
