Overview
Certified Athletic Trainer - Injury Prevention Specialist PRN
Location: 2104 Northdale Blvd Suite 100 Coon Rapids MN 55433
Type of Employment: Per Diem/PRN
Schedule: 2 consistent 4 hours shifts each week at Federal Premium in Anoka MN and then PRN coverage at Abbott Medical around the Twin Cities at any one of our 5 locations.
Compensation: $35.00 - $45.00, hourly, based on years of experience
NovaCare Rehabilitation is currently seeking a PRN Injury Prevention Specialist/WorkStrategies Specialist in an industrial health setting. This position requires 2 consistent 4 hours shifts each week at Federal Premium in Anoka, MN and then PRN coverage at Abbott Medical around the Twin Cities (we have 5 locations in total). We'll pair our coverage needs with your availability to create a schedule that works for you!

Responsibilities
  • On-site coverage for an industrial client under the direction of Account/Program Manager
  • Delivery of full continuum of Onsite Injury Prevention Services at assigned location. Prevention Services include:
    • Assessment, triage, and first aid application for workplace injury/discomfort
    • Ergonomic risk assessment and implementation of ergonomic solutions
    • Design and implementation of functional assessments, preventative exercise, and stretching
    • Job coaching and behavior modification, both one-on-one and in group settings
    • Providing education and training on a wide range of injury prevention topics
    • Office ergonomics
    • Health and wellness consultation
  • Documentation and reporting on employee encounters
  • Regular communication with both client and Select leadership

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training
  • National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA-BOC) Board of Certification
  • Applicable state license where required
  • Minimum one year experience as an Athletic Trainer
  • CPR certification
  • Position requires a strong knowledge of musculoskeletal injury assessment and prevention interventions

Preferred Qualifications:
    • Master's Degree in Athletic Training
    • Industrial Health experience
