The Presales System Engineer (Co-Op) assist Systems Engineers in all aspects of their work. We start out with the basics with small project assignments. We gradually give you larger projects with more responsibilities. Our goal for our student program is to develop excellent candidates for full time system engineering positions upon graduation. The Presales System Engineer will get the opportunity to work closely with our Communication Systems Engineers, who design radio communication solutions, from the conceptual phases through to implementation that meet customer's requirements.

The Presales Systems Engineering Team, primarily supports State and Local Government Public Safety infrastructure and subscriber design and implementation for projects in the Southeast Region.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters Degree. Preferred emphasis in Wireless, Electrical, System or Computer Engineering or Computer Science

  • Excellent communications skills and the ability to present complex topics to non-technical audiences

  • Self-motivated and able to maintain focus in a pressured environment

  • Experience working with customers is desirable

  • Experience/ Knowledge in radio systems, radio propagation, RF, wireless, broadband, microwave, and/or networking is desirable.

  • Experience/ Knowledge of communications networks (MPLS, Ethernet, TCP/IP) is desirable

  • Certifications through CCNA, CompTIA, and/ or Amateur Radio/ HAM is desirable

Target Hourly Base Salary Range: $20.00 - $25.00 USD
