Job Title: Prepared Foods Department Supervisor

Location: Aurora IL

Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and delegate tasks to the Prepared Foods team, ensuring daily department operations run smoothly.
  • Assist with scheduling, training, and performance evaluations for team members.
  • Maintain clean, well-stocked, and properly rotated displays of prepared foods, coffee, and juice.
  • Ensure adherence to store policies, health and safety regulations, and Food Safety standards.
  • Open and close the department according to established procedures.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, respond promptly to customer needs, and maintain high standards of service.
  • Foster a positive team environment through mentoring, training, and performance management.
  • Monitor inventory, profitability, and manage department budgets.
  • Work with the team to achieve retail execution standards and meet operational goals.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and leadership, ensuring all department objectives are met.

Qualifications:

  • 12+ months of retail experience, preferably in a culinary or prepared foods environment.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent customer relationship skills and the ability to motivate a team.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and inventory management.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in various temperatures (freezing, refrigeration, and heat).
  • Flexible schedule availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to use kitchen tools and equipment safely and effectively.
