About the Team
The Solution Engineer team at VTEX is a core part of the sales organization, acting as both the technical backbone and strategic advisor throughout the pre-sales process. This team collaborates closely with Sales, System Integrators, and Professional Services to design scalable, future-proof solutions that meet the unique needs of each potential client.ย  Team members combine strong software development and system architecture skills with a deep understanding of digital commerce and a sales-driven, business-oriented mindset.
The team operates in a fast-paced, knowledge-driven environment where autonomy, curiosity, and continuous learning are essential. Solution Engineers are expected to proactively seek out knowledge and stay current with the VTEX platform's evolving capabilities. They thrive in an extreme ownership culture-where if an out-of-the-box solution isn't available, they find a path forward. Their mission is to identify client pain-points, goals and transform them into tangible, long-term business outcomes through technically sound and innovative solutions.
About the Role
As a Solution Engineer at VTEX, you will be a key player in the sales process, working alongside Account Executives to support technical discovery, solution design, and client alignment throughout the pre-sales journey. This role demands a unique blend of technical expertise and business acumen, with strong knowledge of commerce (both B2B and B2C) being essential to succeed. You will engage directly with senior IT and business stakeholders, guiding them through complex digital transformation discussions and crafting tailored, technically feasible solutions that address both strategic goals and operational challenges.
Your responsibilities will include demonstrating the VTEX platform and its capabilities, responding to RFPs, developing technical documentation, building proof of concepts (PoCs), and leading technical conversations through to contract signature. Once the deal is closed, you will facilitate a thorough handover of project context and documentation to the Customer Experience (CX) team to ensure a smooth implementation.
This role is ideal for a self-driven, solution-oriented professional who is passionate about digital commerce and excited by the opportunity to shape transformative commerce experiences for enterprise clients.
*For this position you are required to attend the office 4 days a week (Monday - Thursday), and remote work on Friday.
Who you are
  • You have 4+ years of experience as a Solutions Engineer;
  • You have deep knowledge in B2B and B2C Commerce;
  • You have experience in pre-selling or selling enterprise SaaS solutions (preferably in the commerce landscape) and technical knowledge for platform and integration models via API;
  • You are fluent in English;
    • It's a plus if you are fluent in French, Spanish and/or Portuguese
  • You have experience in developing working relationships across all levels of management, internally and externally;
  • You can work multi-functionally with colleagues and managers, internally and externally;
  • You can translate complexity into action plans and communications;
  • You translate the customers' needs into business and architectural solutions;
  • You have a tech & math mindset, providing simple solutions to complex problems;
  • You have strong communication and presentation skills.
  • You have a curious, AI-first mindset to help streamline and eliminate processes within the team;
