With offices in Baton Rouge, Beaumont, Houston, and Corpus Christi, Texas, as well as job sites around the country, ISC has grown our team as high as 3,000+ associates and offers full-service engineering, construction, and maintenance solutions throughout the United States.
The Position:
ISC Estimating group is currently seeking a Pre-Construction Estimating Specialist to join the Corporate Pre-Construction group. The successful candidate will work alongside of other estimators in establishing complete electrical and instrumentation proposals for projects including review of specifications and plans, quantity survey, establishing labor units, material and equipment pricing, preparation and review of vendor and subcontract quotes, site visits, and proposal presentation.
Applicants should have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in applicable field
  • E/I Construction experience, minimum of six (6) months experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word primarily)
  • Proficiency in Vista by Viewpoint software
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and stay self-motivated
  • Communicate effectively with multi-discipline ISC team members

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Learn Estimating software
  • Work with Pre-Construction Team on proposals
  • Assist with preparation of OH&T sheets, evaluation of material pricing, and evaluation of subcontractors pricing and terms & conditions.
  • Participate in bid reviews
  • Prepare proposal letters
  • Assist with creation of technical proposals
  • Assist with contract reviews
  • Perform specialty electrical services takeoff
  • Act as team lead on proposals
  • Review contracts for risk and scope of supply
  • Pre-Construction Mentor for Pre-Construction Apprentices and Interns
  • Perform takeoff of:
    • Grounding and lighting
    • Power and Controls
    • Schedules (cable, instrument, etc.)
    • Instrument electrical and mechanical
