Job Description
  • The IT Project Manager II will operate as a Servant Leader and Facilitator for 2-3 Agile teams, ensuring the effective implementation of Scrum and Kanban principles. The successful candidate will be a strong negotiator, have excellent logic and problem-solving skills and drive to make a difference. We need an individual that puts the team before themselves. They will be responsible for enforcing the rules of Scrum, removing impediments from their team, while promoting self-management and consistently driving a culture of continuous improvement.
        Liaison & Communication
  • Serve as liaison between technical and non-technical departments.
  • Communicate with other management, developers, product owners and technical support specialists on product issues.
  • Coach the team on best practices (maintaining a healthy backlog, develop high quality user stories, estimating and delivery
        Development
  • Organize and facilitate project planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other Scrum-related meetings.
  • Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress.
  • Maintain process documentation.
  • Ensure the team members are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility.      
        Application Support
  • Assist as needed with backlog maintenance and reviewing quality of user stories.
  • Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.
  • Assist with prioritization and resolution of defects / bugs.
        Management
  • proactively in developing and maintaining team working agreement, standards, and tools.
  • Develop and manage Team performance metrics, leverage to drive efficiencies in the process.
  • Identify and remove impediments, prevents distractions.
  • Facilitate discussion and conflict resolution.
  • Empower the team to self-organize.

        Position Requirements
        Formal Education & Certification

  • Four-year college diploma or university degree in computer systems design or computer science, and/or 10 years equivalent work experience - Required 4 Years
  • Must be a Certified Scrum Master - Required 5 Years
  • Scaled Agile (SAFe) experience and certification is a plus - Required 3 Years
       Knowledge & Experience
  • Scrum Master or Business Analyst experience is preferred - Highly Desired 4 Years
  • Understanding of agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures - Highly Desired 4 Years
  • Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle - Highly Desired 4 Years
  • Understanding of organization’s development platform and languages - Highly Desired 4 Years
  • Ability to understand technical issues - Highly Desired 4 Years
