Job description

Position Summary

Mercedes-Benz Stadium (MBS) is hiring a full-time Point of Sale (POS) Technical Analyst. This position will support the POS Manager System & Technology in ensuring all food and beverage sales systems are prepared and ready for all major events at MBS. This role will require pre-event work and systems to be prepared as well as providing operational monitoring and support for those systems during the events.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Work closely with and support the POS Manager System & Technology to:
    • ensure all POS systems within the stadium are fully functional and ready for major events
      • includes swapping out of fixed POS terminals and shipping for repair
    • assist in maintaining and managing an inventory of all POS hardware, tablet devices, and related peripherals
    • assist in the implementation of POS application updates and releases
    • establish, monitor, and report on overall POS systems performance

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • At least 4 years of Information Technology experience working with hardware and tablet devices
  • Experience configuring and supporting point of sale systems to include installation, troubleshooting, and monitoring systems.
  • Preferred: Experience with Global Payments Xenial/Genius systems
  • Microsoft certifications, or other IT certifications (Network certifications) desirable
  • Previous major events/sports and entertainment experience preferred

  • Self-motivated and ability to manage multiple work streams with little supervision
  • Proven problem solving, troubleshooting, research, and implementation skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to collaborate with others
  • Demonstrated ability to excel in a team-centered environment
  • Ability to work well with and achieve exceptional results through others
  • Experience supporting or managing mobile devices (Enterprise managed smartphones/tablets), working knowledge of MDM software
  • Ideal candidate would be comfortable working in guest facing fast-paced environment
  • Some standing and walking are necessary during event prep, gamedays, and match days
