Industrial Maintenance Technician
Location: Waco, TX
Shift: 6pm-6am - Rotating Schedule
Compensation: $37.00 - 42.00 per hr + $2/hr. Shift Differential
Bonus: $7,500.00 Probationary Bonus. Annual Personal Performance Bonus. Relocation Allowance of up to $10,000.00.

Position Summary
Polyglass is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to support plant operations by troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and improving industrial equipment and facility systems. This role performs the responsibilities of Maintenance Technician while leading electrical projects and supporting electrical/PLC, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment. The position also assists with preventive maintenance, equipment reliability, and coordinating maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial, electrical, PLC, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.

  • Diagnose and repair equipment, including basic electrical components such as breakers, fuses, motors, and sensors.

  • Operate and troubleshoot industrial control systems, variable speed drives, level sensors, limit switches, pressure switches, proximity sensors, photoelectric sensors, and motor starters.

  • Perform metal fabrication and welding (preferred).

  • Safely perform rigging and equipment movement.

  • Coordinate maintenance activities with production, shipping, and other departments.

  • Perform routine lubrication of plant equipment and support systems.

  • Complete preventive maintenance (PM) tasks and maintain accurate documentation.

  • Disassemble, repair, and reassemble pumps, valves, and related equipment.

  • Splice and repair conveyor belts.

  • Replace and align motors, gearboxes, belts, chains, sprockets, and pulleys.

  • Independently respond to maintenance calls and maintain the daily maintenance log while serving as the on-duty line maintenance technician.

  • Research and source maintenance materials and replacement parts.

Required Qualifications
  • 4+ years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Previous metal fabrication and/or welding experience.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Must be able to work certain weekends on rotating schedule

Preferred Qualifications
  • Electrical/PLC experience.

  • Experience with Preventive Maintenance Programs (PMP).

  • Experience with Siemens S5 and S7 PLC programming.

  • Certified Electrician strongly preferred.
