Title: Senior Manager, Data & Analytics

Employment Status: Full-Time, Salaried, Exempt.

Location: Remote (United States) with up to 25% travel annually.

Schedule: Standard business hours with flexibility based on business needs.

Compensation Range: $150,000 - $180,000



Position Overview

This role sits within a high-growth, multi-unit retail platform and is responsible for owning the enterprise KPI framework and driving business intelligence across all locations. The position operates as a senior individual contributor, partnering closely with executive leadership, finance, operations, and marketing to ensure data-driven decision making across the organization.

This individual will define what metrics matter, how they are measured, and how insights are delivered to stakeholders. The role focuses heavily on subscription and membership-based business models, requiring deep understanding of unit economics, retention, and lifecycle analytics. While not a pure engineering role, this position works closely with data and software engineering teams to execute on analytics initiatives and scale reporting capabilities.



Key Responsibilities

KPI Ownership and Business Intelligence:

  • Define, standardize, and own KPI frameworks including membership conversion, churn, lifetime value, visits per member, revenue per transaction, and labor efficiency
  • Proactively identify trends, anomalies, and performance gaps across locations and communicate actionable insights
  • Build cohort and lifecycle reporting to inform retention, reactivation, and growth strategies
  • Integrate external data sources such as weather and labor data into operational decision-making models
  • Partner with finance to support M&A due diligence and post-acquisition performance tracking

Dashboarding and Automated Reporting:

  • Own design and maintenance of enterprise dashboards within BI platforms, leveraging a centralized data warehouse
  • Automate recurring reporting workflows to eliminate manual processes and improve data accessibility
  • Utilize AI-assisted tools to rapidly prototype and iterate on dashboard development

Executive and Board Reporting:

  • Develop reporting packages, analyses, and visualizations for executive leadership and investor presentations
  • Ensure reporting accuracy, consistency, and alignment with financial and operational data
  • Establish scalable reporting cadences and standardized templates

Data Request Intake and Project Management:

  • Serve as the central intake point for analytics requests, managing prioritization and execution
  • Translate business questions into actionable analytical requirements for data engineering teams
  • Manage analytics backlog with a product-oriented mindset balancing quick wins and strategic initiatives

AI-Driven Data Enablement:

  • Promote self-service analytics through AI tools and enable non-technical stakeholders to access and interpret data
  • Maintain semantic layers, data dictionaries, and governance frameworks to support reliable reporting
  • Evaluate and implement emerging AI capabilities to enhance analytics workflows

Billing, Revenue, and Data Integrity Analytics:

  • Track billing performance including failed transactions, recovery rates, and revenue at risk
  • Build reporting on payment processing, decline rates, and recovery performance
  • Partner with finance and accounting to reconcile operational data with financial systems
  • Identify and escalate discrepancies or anomalies in billing and revenue data



Qualifications & Skills

  • 6–8+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data-focused roles within multi-unit retail, subscription, or high-frequency consumer environments
  • Deep understanding of subscription and membership economics including churn, lifetime value, conversion funnels, and cohort analysis
  • Strong SQL skills with experience querying and analyzing data within modern data warehouse environments
  • Experience with BI and visualization tools, with exposure to platforms such as DOMO preferred
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data environments and tools such as Snowflake
  • Experience building executive-level reporting and translating data into business insights
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills with the ability to partner across finance, operations, and marketing teams
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments with evolving data needs



Technical Environment

  • Experience in car wash, fuel and convenience, QSR, or similar location-based retail environments
  • Background in private equity-backed or high-growth organizations
  • Experience supporting M&A analytics including site-level benchmarking and performance tracking
  • Familiarity with tools such as dbt, Python, or data transformation frameworks
