Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Rehabilitation Aide will prepare treatment areas for incoming patients. Rehab Aide will transport patients to/from rehab department, and prepare patients and equipment for treatments, clean treatment rooms, dispose of soiled laundry. Rehab Aide will provide general assistance to Physical/Occupational Therapy staff as well as Cardiac / Pulmonary Rehab staff as directed, including instruction to patients concerning the use therapy-based equipment and exercises. Rehabilitation Aide will perform clerical duties such as maintaining statistics, scheduling patients, answering telephones, and other related duties as directed. Assist in care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies. Rehab Aide will clean equipment, treatment tables and general department cleaning. Rehab Aide will check and record PI and QAPI data as required for department policy. Aide will stock department with laundry and supplies in the correct location. Aide will also assist patients with set up and monitoring during exercises and treatment as well as perform blood pressure and pulse ox monitoring as directed and have a knowledge of modalities, exercise equipment, and exercise programs. Rehabilitation Aide will assist with transferring, lifting, and positioning of inpatients and outpatients. Also the aide will performs various duties as directed by supervisor.
