Dietary Aide Job Qualifications:

Must possess maturity and tact when dealing with others.

Ability to work within the Dietary Team concept.

Able to read and write in English.

High school diploma or G.E.D. and prior experience in food service, preferred.

Dietary Aide Job Overview

The primary purpose for the Dietary Aide position is to ensure the proper preparation of food for residents and staff while maintaining high standard of quality food production and dining room service. Dietary Aides maintain infection control, sanitation and safety policies and procedures.

Dietary Aide Job Duties

Respect and deliver services to client as needed and as indicated by the director of dietary services.

Assist in maintaining client dietary needs as prescribed by doctorโ€™s orders.

Maintain high sanitation standards as described by the Dietary Policy & Procedure Manual (DPPM).

Maintain food storage, labeling and stock rotation as described in the DPPM.

Assist in security systems set by the director of dietary services.

Prepare all food products within standards established by the Dietary Menu System.

Assist in team training of new employees and vocational employees/clients.

Participate in quality assurance of all dietary products and services.

Adapt to change and situations as needed.

Report unsafe working conditions to the director of dietary service and kitchen manager.

Adhere to facility policies and procedures.
