Job description

About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership role supporting a busy residential plumbing operation. You'll work alongside the Operations Manager to drive technician performance, improve efficiency, and elevate the overall quality of the department.
You're not stuck behind a desk-you're in it with the team:
  • Coaching in the field
  • Reviewing jobs
  • Developing techs
  • Driving results
Why This Role Stands Out
  • Strong Call Volume - Consistent demand across service, repair, and replacement work
  • High Revenue Opportunity - Backed by a premium brand and established customer base
  • Real Impact - You're shaping technician performance, not just managing spreadsheets
  • Mix of Work - Service, repair, system upgrades, and customer experience leadership
  • Growth Track - Clear path to Operations Manager and beyond
Why Work at Goettl
  • Earn More, Work Smart - Flat-rate pay plus commission on most jobs
  • Comprehensive Benefits - Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance
  • 401(k) with Company Match - Build long-term financial security
  • Career Development - 90% of field employees receive weekly training; 25% are promoted from within
  • Work-Life Balance - Paid time off and limited on-call rotations
  • Company-Provided Vehicle - Fully stocked and maintained take-home vans
  • Uniform & Boot Allowance - Professional and safe field attire provided
  • Nationwide Growth - Career mobility across multiple locations
What You'll Do
  • Drive daily plumbing operations-technician productivity, scheduling, and performance
  • Ensure trucks are stocked and teams are set up to win on every call
  • Coach plumbers in diagnostics, repair, and customer communication
  • Audit jobs and hold the standard on quality and revenue performance
  • Partner on pricing, cost control, and profitability
  • Hire, onboard, and develop strong plumbing talent
  • Step in on customer escalations and turn problems into long-term wins
  • Help implement new systems, processes, and operational improvements
What You Bring
  • 3-5+ years in residential plumbing (service-focused)
  • Experience leading or influencing other plumbers (lead, supervisor, trainer, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of service vs. repair vs. replacement opportunities
  • Ability to coach both technical skill and sales performance
  • You hold the line on quality-but know how to develop people, not just call them out
  • Comfortable working with numbers, KPIs, and performance metrics
  • ServiceTitan or similar platform experience is a plus
  • Committed and progressive work history
  • Ability to pass a background and drug screen upon offer
  • Clean motor vehicle record with an active driver's license

If you're in a spot where:
  • You've got the skill... but not the support
  • You're doing the work... but not seeing the upside
  • You're ready to lead... but don't have the platform

This is worth a conversation.
