Job description

Franklin Plumbing in Columbia, SC is searching for a full-time Plumbing Operations Manager to join our adaptive and empowering leadership team. This full-time, hybrid role offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 – $115,000/year plus bonuses. We also offer generous benefits, such as:

As Plumbing Operations Manager, you will work a consistent schedule from 7 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday, with on-call responsibilities. Flexibility is key, as you will also cover evenings, nights, or weekends as needed to support your team and ensure project completion.


YOUR DAY-TO-DAY AS OUR PLUMBING OPERATIONS MANAGER

Each day, you will step into a leadership role where you will recruit, train, schedule, and supervise plumbing technicians and field crews, making sure every team is fully staffed and performing at their best. You will oversee the planning and coordination of residential, commercial, and industrial plumbing projects-managing timelines, prioritizing work orders, and ensuring jobs are completed on time and within budget. Your day will include conducting site inspections, maintaining quality control, and ensuring all work complies with local codes and industry standards. You will also manage the procurement and inventory of plumbing materials, tools, and equipment, keep track of vehicle maintenance, and make sure crews are properly equipped. As the go-to person for customer relations, you will handle escalations, nurture client relationships, review estimates and bids, and support business development through repeat work and new contracts-all while fostering a results-driven, growth-minded team environment.

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar tools
  • Ability to manage budgets, control costs, and analyze operational performance
  • Solid communication skills for interacting with clients, crews, and vendors
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in business management, construction management, or a related field (preferred)
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (often required)
