Role Overview
The IT Intern will support the day-to-day operations of the IT department, including desktop support, workstation provisioning, software installation, account management, AV support, and general troubleshooting. This role is ideal for someone who is interested in gaining hands-on experience in IT operations, user support, systems administration, and workplace technology.
The IT Intern will work closely with the IT team to support employees, maintain hardware and software systems, assist with corporate events, and contribute to internal documentation and process improvements.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide direct technical support to users across the organization, including troubleshooting hardware, software, network connectivity, and data access issues.
  • Provision and configure Mac and Windows computers, including installing software and preparing devices for new employees.
  • Create, modify, and remove user accounts across various IT platforms.
  • Assist with AV support for meetings and corporate events, including video conferencing systems, audio systems, digital screens, digital signage, and related equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, escalating when needed.
  • Assist with operating system updates, software patches, and routine maintenance.
  • Support IT documentation by creating and updating guides, procedures, and internal knowledge base articles.
  • Assist with hardware upgrades, equipment setup, and resource optimization.
  • Help with purchasing, tracking, and organizing employee computers, laptops, peripherals, and other IT equipment.
  • Provide general support for IT projects and infrastructure improvements as needed.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Strong interest in IT support, systems administration, networking, AV, and workplace technology.
  • Basic understanding of Mac and Windows operating systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot computers, devices, networks, and software issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating with the IT team.
  • Willingness to occasionally support events or urgent IT needs outside of standard business hours.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Kandji MDM, Zoom, Mimecast, or similar platforms is a plus.
