Job description

NABRICO Marine Products is searching for a Plasma Machine Operator for our Bossier City, LA plant. Our Machine Operators are part of a team that’s motivated to do a great job. As a Plasma Table Operator, you’ll set up and operate production equipment, monitor tolerances and other control components to adhere to specifications.

NABRICO Marine Products, a leading manufacturer of barges used to transport cargo on U.S. inland waterways. NABRICO Marine Products manufactures dry cargo barges, including flat-deck and hopper barges, that are used to transport a variety of products including grain, coal, and aggregates. NABRICO Marine Products also manufactures tank barges that carry petroleum, fertilizer, ethanol, chemicals, and other liquid cargoes. It is the largest U.S. manufacturer of fiberglass hopper barge covers used primarily on grain barges. Additionally, NABRICO Marine Products provides a full line of deck hardware to the marine industry, including hatches, castings, and winches for towboats and dock facilities.

What You’ll Do:

  • Operate CNC Plasma equipment
  • Read and interpret drawings and DXF burn files
  • Deburr parts
  • Inventory control of plate stock
  • Use basic measuring devices, such as tape measure, and has working knowledge of shop math
  • Perform housekeeping and maintains all required records
  • Follow all safety rules and practices
  • May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Work shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM 

What You’ll Need:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an industrial setting
  • Ability to proficiently operate CNC Plasma equipment
  • Basic knowledge at reading blueprints and shop work orders to determine machine setup
  • Ability to use and troubleshoot hand tools, including measuring tape
  • Capable of setting up and operating conventional metalworking equipment
