With scalable production capacity and disciplined program management, PSI delivers repeatable quality and reliable performance on complex builds for mission-critical and industrial applications worldwide.Summary:Under the direction of the VP & Corporate Controller, the Finance Director/Plant Controller is responsible for the finance and accounting operations of the WI facilities. This is a high-impact finance leadership role that serves as a strategic partner to Plant and Operations leadership, helping drive financial performance, cost efficiency, operational excellence, and business growth. The ideal candidate brings deep manufacturing finance expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment. This role will also include the production of periodic financial statements, budgets, and maintenance of an adequate system of accounting internal controls designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.Essential Responsibilities:Serve as the primary finance and accounting leader for the Wisconsin facilities, with overall responsibility for all site financial and accounting activities.Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, financial analyses, supporting schedules, and timely, accurate financial reporting.Direct all plant finance functions, including cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, inventory accounting, capital expenditure tracking, and operational financial reporting.Partner closely with Plant and Operations leadership to provide financial analysis and business insights that drive operational excellence, productivity improvements, and informed decision-making.Monitor and analyze key operational and financial performance indicators, including manufacturing cost variances, inventory accuracy, labor efficiency, capital spending, and other plant performance metrics.Prepare and communicate financial results, forecasts, and key business insights to plant management, corporate finance, and the parent company, while supporting strategic initiatives and special projects.Establish, maintain, and continuously improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial reporting.Lead and develop the accounting organization by establishing an effective structure, building team capabilities, and driving continuous process improvements.Ensure the timely preparation and submission of complete and accurate financial statements and reporting packages to the parent company.Develop and monitor key financial and operational benchmarks to measure business performance and identify opportunities for improvement.Provide financial analysis and decision support for capital investments, pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and other strategic business initiatives.Lead the annual business planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, establishing financial objectives and performance targets aligned with company goals.Coordinate and support all internal and external audits by preparing required analyses, reports, and supporting documentation.Serve as the internal control owner for assigned processes, ensuring compliance with SOX, legal, and regulatory requirements through design, documentation, execution, and continuous improvement of effective controls.Perform other duties and special assignments as directed by management.Requirements:Bachelorโ€™s degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance.7+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience.Minimum 3 years of experience in a Plant Controller or manufacturing finance leadership role.Strong understanding of Cost AccountingStandard CostingVariance AnalysisManufacturing Financial ReportingLeadership experience in financial operations at a major company or division of a large corporation, ideally a publicly traded company.Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence executive management and business operations leadership.Demonstrated creation, implementation, and adherence to internal financial controls that support SOX, SEC, GAAP standards.Ability to recruit, develop and retain a high performing team.Proficiency in financial ERP systems (Epicor a plus), Microsoft Office, and general computer skills.PreferredCPA or Certified Management Accountant certificateMBAPublic Accounting ExperiencePSI offers a wide range of benefits from medical, dental, and vision to pet insurance as well as discounted prescription plans.
