Job description

Position Summary
The Controller is responsible for overseeing all accounting operations and financial reporting for a manufacturing organization. This role ensures the accuracy of financial statements, supports operational decision-making, and maintains strong internal controls while partnering closely with production, supply chain, and leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
Develop and maintain financial reporting packages for leadership
Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Finance
Oversee standard costing, cost of goods sold (COGS), and inventory valuation
Analyze production costs, labor, overhead, and variances
Partner with operations to improve cost efficiency and margins
Monitor inventory accuracy and support cycle counts/physical inventories
Budgeting & Forecasting
Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes
Track performance against budget and provide variance analysis
Deliver insights to support strategic and operational decisions
Internal Controls & Compliance
Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
Ensure compliance with audit requirements, tax regulations, and company policies
Coordinate external audits and support regulatory reporting
Leadership & Cross-Functional Support
Supervise and develop accounting team members
Collaborate with operations, procurement, and supply chain teams
Provide financial insights to support production planning and capital investments

Education & Experience
