The Engineering Rapid Build Services (ERBS) department is seeking a Manufacturing Planner I to manage and lead the acquisition and manufacturing of Test Equipment.

The Manufacturing Planner I will resolve test equipment and prototype manufacturing issues based on knowledge of the engineering design, need, and final intended application. This position includes generating and monitoring the progression of multiple requisitions through the procurement cycle, facilitating resolution of procurement issues, and ensuring items are delivered to meet customers’ schedules.

The Manufacturing Planner I will utilize Engineering Manufacturing Management System (EMMS) to generate work orders, build/maintain indentured build of materials (IBOMS), generate material requisitions, and provide material/work order status to customers. 

This is an onsite position based in Tucson, Arizona.

What You Will Do

  • Actively contribute to the design, acquisition, and manufacturing of complex test equipment including cables, chassis, electro/mechanical fixtures

  • Participate in engineering design reviews

  • Manage and maintain build configuration and quality history records

  • Acquire, track, manage material from procurement through final delivery of completed test sets

  • Assist in resolving manufacturing issues and overseeing delivery of final products to internal/external customers

Qualifications You Must Have  

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)

    • Less than 2 years of prior relevant engineering experience interpreting engineering drawings related to electrical instrumentation, assemblies, cables, chassis, electro-mechanical assemblies

    • Experience working in a manufacturing or engineering lab environment area

    • Experience with material procurement

    • US Citizen - Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Previous experience working with test equipment or prototype engineering hardware

  • Experience maintaining configuration control of products and drawings

  • Experience interfacing directly with customers in an engineering/manufacturing environment

  • Experience with the design, use, and fabrication of electrical instrumentation

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
