Job description

Overview

We are seeking an experienced PIP Arbitration Paralegal to join our team and manage assigned New Jersey PIP arbitration matters from preparation through resolution. This position will work closely with attorneys on arbitration preparation, legal writing, medical documentation, settlement negotiations, and overall case management.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with New Jersey PIP arbitration and is comfortable reviewing medical records and billing, drafting basic legal briefs, negotiating with insurance carriers, and managing case deadlines. This is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal who wants to take an active role in the resolution of PIP matters while working alongside experienced arbitration attorneys.

Responsibilities 

  • Manage assigned PIP arbitration matters. 
  • Draft basic arbitration briefs, replies, and supporting legal documents. 
  • Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers. 
  • Review medical records, bills, EOBs, and supporting documentation. 
  • Assist attorneys with arbitration preparation and case management. 
  • Monitor deadlines and maintain accurate case documentation. 
  • Assist with post-service appeals and other litigation support as needed. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • 3-5 years of paralegal experience, preferably in New Jersey PIP or personal injury. 
  • Experience negotiating PIP arbitration settlements. 
  • Basic legal brief writing experience. 
  • Knowledge of New Jersey PIP Arbitration procedures. 
  • Knowledge of the New Jersey PIP Fee Schedule, precertification requirements, and post-service appeals is a strong plus. 
  • Experience with Litify or similar case management software preferred.
