Job description

Summary

The Regional Facilities and Physical Security Manager oversee the enterprise-wide Physical Security controls and assists in the Facilities Management activities for Redwire's office environments. This position will provide administrative support for our regional physical security systems, including access control, surveillance cameras, visitor intake, alarms, and other related systems. In addition, this role will assist with basic Facilities support across various locations to ensure a safe and efficient environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining physical security protocols, addressing facility needs, and promoting a secure workplace.
The Regional Facilities and Physical Security Manager will also work with the Workplace Operations team to help maintain the Redwire Health and Safety Program, policies, and practices with a goal in reducing risk of accidents in our working environments. This role will support and foster a culture of safety and accountability while ensuring compliance with all OSHA, federal/state/local laws and general industry standards.
Additionally, the Regional Facilities and Physical Security Manager will assist with managing Facilities and Physical Security vendors and contractors, including maintaining records and contracts, ensuring permits and required insurance are in place, coordinating project activities, and providing scheduling support. General support, maintenance, and expansion of facilities will also be provided as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the administration, installation, operation, and maintenance of security systems, including alarms, cameras, access control, intrusion detection, visitor intake system.
  • Develop and enforce security protocols, incident response procedures, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Monitor and analyze security system performance, ensuring timely upgrades, testing, reporting, and preventive maintenance.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure consistent security coverage across all locations.
  • Ensure proper physical security measures are maintained during business hours by following established visitor registration procedures at all sites
  • Conduct and report on investigations into security incidents, implement corrective measures and work with local law enforcement and emergency services
  • Facility Support - Ensure that all facilities services and repair activities are effectively delivered, and facilities needs are met across multiple Redwire locations
  • Assist in preventative maintenance plans, and general building maintenance
  • Assist in space management, vendor contracts and services such as security and janitorial
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for facility upgrades and renovations
  • Provide project management support as needed
  • Ensure facilities meet safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements and proactively address compliance issues. Advise sites and business units of safety best practices.
  • Serve as a point of contact for security-related inquiries from employees and stakeholders
  • Assist Redwire sites in managing and maintaining visitor intake and physical security
  • Assist with new employee badging, building access control, and onboarding
  • Work closely with the regional management team to assess security needs and implement effective solutions
  • Evaluate cost-saving opportunities while maintaining high standards of safety and security.
  • Provide regular reports to leadership on system performance, facility conditions, and key metrics
  • Some travel may be required to various regional locations for site assessments and coordination
  • Other duties as assigned
Ideal Experience
  • Bachelor's degree with 5 or more years of experience, with a minimum of 2 or more years' in physical security & facilities management (manufacturing, R&D, etc) Willing to consider relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • Strong technical knowledge of physical security platforms, facilities management, and best practices in industry trends
  • Proven experience in security administration or facilities management, with a focus on physical security systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • General building knowledge (HVAC systems, electrical systems)
Desired Skills
  • Familiarity with security systems, access controls systems (especially w/ Verkada)
  • Experience preparing emergency action plans and facilitating audits and risk assessments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
