Job Title: Senior Associate, Industrial Security (CPSO)

Job Description:

The Senior Associate, Industrial Security (CPSO) is responsible for managing and directing all security related issues associated with the IC program portfolio at the L3Harris Space & Mission Systems office in Rochester, NY.

The CPSO's responsibilities include management and execution of all facility security functions including SCIF operations, personnel security, program support, physical security, document control, badging, and access control. The CPSO implements all requisite national security directives with specific emphasis on NISPOM and other governing directives as applicable.

Essential Functions: 

  • Administer, address, and complete personnel security requirements with employees regarding security issues, CONOP writing, program protection plans, program access briefings, and clearance/access maintenance for briefed employees
  • Administer and track requisite annual training, escort training, initial security clearance briefing, and security debriefing for all cleared employees
  • Ensure all required security support for IC programs, and manage operations of SCIFs in accordance with governing directives and program specific guidance
  • Responsible for ensuring the formulation, establishment and execution of security policy, procedures, and protocols pertinent to the facility consistent with National Industrial Security Program requirements
  • Analyze and investigate security incidents and violations; prepare internal and external customer reports
  • Responsible for effective communications regarding security by interfacing with or liaising with external customers (Government, Associate Contractors, Subcontractors, former employees,) and internal L3Harris organizations
  • Guard/alarm interface; liaison with alarm monitoring facility to ensure security of controlled/secure areas in accordance with government requirements
  • Physical security duties include, but are not limited to, combinations, access control systems, alarm accesses, secure area modifications and buildouts
  • Manage and handle incoming and outgoing classified material, destruction and other such accountable items
  • Prepare and participate in IC community Security Assessments
  • Create and/or maintain continuity books and procedures for multiple security functions
  • Prepare and update Fixed Facility Checklists (FFCs) and other docuents in accordance with customer guidelines
  • Responsible for adhering to L3Harris corporate policies on protecting intellectual property, PII protection, Insider Threat, and other such policies
  • Conduct indoctrination briefings and educating cleared personnel on their clearance responsibilities
  • Debriefing individuals who no longer have a need-to-know or resign from their position

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance 

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Completion of an accredited/approved CPSO course; other professional accreditations and certifications
  • Experience using security management software and applications
  • Working knowledge of Intelligence Community Directives (ICD's) and supplement Information system security experience
  • Experience implementing NISPOM requirements and ICD 705 Standards
  • Familiarity with operations of SCIF spaces
