Job Summary
The CADY Assistant Photo Operations Manager supports the Photography Operations Manager in overseeing a team of hourly photographers to deliver memorable photography experiences. This role involves assisting with photographer coordination, logistics, scheduling, and equipment maintenance while ensuring high standards of customer service and creativity. A successful Assistant Photography Operations Manager will demonstrate strong organizational skills, a collaborative spirit, and a commitment to supporting the team’s vision for exceptional photography.

Responsibilities

  1. Assist in executing photography events, Senior portrait sessions, and photography processing in alignment with CADY’s operational, photographic, and customer service standards.
  2. Support the hiring, training, and coaching of photographers and service-minded team members under the direction of the Photography Operations Manager.
  3. Help maintain staff schedules and labor hours to align with the internal staffing budget.
  4. Collaborate with internal teams, such as Sales & School Support, to ensure photographers are equipped with necessary event details.
  5. Assist in conducting regular check-ins with photographers to provide feedback on their work quality.
  6. Support the timely maintenance of event job statuses by coordinating with Image Processors.
  7. Help ensure proper workflows are followed during event downloading to prevent loss or corruption of images.
  8. Assist in managing the maintenance of CADY equipment, including vans, photography equipment, and event supplies, per company procedures.
  9. Contribute to the preparation of daily and weekly reports regarding internal KPIs and deliver feedback regarding these KPI’s.
  10. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Photography Operations Manager.

JOB REQUIREMENTS 

Qualifications/Skill Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must pass a satisfactory background check.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Available to work weekend hours during the busy season.
  • Professional demeanor with customers and team members.
  • Familiarity with business systems and a willingness to learn new platforms.
  • Ability to support and motivate a team to achieve high standards.
  • Ability to stay organized and efficient in a fast-paced environment while remaining calm under pressure.

Experience

  • Experience supporting or managing a team (10 or more preferred) and working within deadlines.
  • Minimum of 2 years of photography experience preferred.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.

Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors

  • Able to walk/move inside or outside for more than 6 consecutive hours.
  • Able to work in outdoor weather as needed.
  • Comfortable with significant noise and sensory stimulants (e.g., busy retail environments with camera flashes, music, and crowded areas).
  • Able to move up to 40 lbs.
  • Able to bend or stoop.
