Job description

PROGRAMMING DUTIES
  • Administer daily network, local, and syndicated lineup updates across seven broadcast channels and communicate changes promptly to internal and external partners.
  • Manage the NBC Portal and communications with the NBC programming team.
  • Ensure program titles are accurate in Nielsen ratings systems.
  • Write and edit programming schedules for the weekly employee newsletter.
  • Assist in scheduling and communicating promotional projects, local specials, and coordinating with news about related segments.
  • Maintain syndicated programming contracts and advise leadership on timelines and changes.
  • Schedule and reschedule children's educational programming, analyze data, and share required FCC reports.
  • Coordinate quarterly FCC Issues & Programs reports with local and corporate teams.
  • Manage daily lineup updates for the KOB Streaming Channel and fill programming gaps with streaming-only specials.
  • Coordinate with Master Control on recording schedules, special programming, and captioning.

PROJECT COORDINATOR DUTIES
  • Coordinate interviews for multi-day local events, resolve scheduling conflicts, and meet tight broadcast deadlines.
  • Coordinate sponsored phone-bank events with internal teams and community partners, maintain relationships, and share results.
  • Respond to and coordinate requests for station tours and school visits

OTHER
  • Works cooperatively and collaboratively with others. Assists in developing solutions as they arise.
  • Builds effective relationships. Acts in a professional manner.
  • Generally, works during regular business hours however may need to work other hours as needed
  • Complete other duties as assigned

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • TV, radio or other media experience preferred
  • Advanced digital skills with the ability to fully utilize programming software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Resourceful, collaborative, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as a contributing team member.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving history as determined by the Company. Driving record will be checked.
  • Physical requirements
    • Must be able listen to and respond verbally in English to others.
    • Must have manual dexterity to operate office equipment (including telephone, copier, fax machine, etc)
    • Ability to think critically and logically.
    • Articulate information in a clear, concise manner to others verbally and in writing.
