Job description

As a Teller at Legacy Bank, you'll play an essential role in creating meaningful, trust-based relationships with our customers while delivering reliable service each day. You'll support customers by accurately processing transactions, responding to questions with care and professionalism, and maintaining the integrity of financial records. Through thoughtful conversations, you'll help identify customer needs and connect them with appropriate banking solutions, contributing not only to the success of the branch, but to a positive and welcoming banking experience overall.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

Process a variety of financial transactions for customers including, but not limited to: receiving funds, posting transactions and paying out funds as requested, issuing cashier's checks, gift cards, and completing change orders, process the redemption of bonds, cash checks according to written procedures

Balances cash drawer daily to assure accuracy in transactions and notifies supervisor regarding any offages. Appropriately applying policies.

Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and internal inquiries regarding policies, practices and products.

Assist other departments and branches with transactions as needed, provide support for the department and branch managers in fulfilling customer requests and merchant verifications.

Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, the Office of Foreign Assets Control and all security policies and procedures.

All employees are expected to actively promote Legacy Bank to existing and prospective customers in order to obtain and build the banks customer base and thereby enhance Legacy Banks growth and profitability.
