Korean-Speaking Personal Injury Intake Specialist / Paralegal

Salzman, Winer & Klein LLP. is a New York City personal injury law firm seeking a bilingual Korean-English Intake Specialist / Paralegal to join our team.

We are looking for someone who is organized, proactive, personable, and comfortable communicating directly with clients. This position will play an important role in guiding clients through the initial and ongoing stages of their personal injury claims and ensuring that files are properly opened, documented, and moved forward. We are willing to train the right candidate.

Fluency in both Korean and English is required.

Responsibilities/Willing to Train:

  • Communicate with prospective and existing clients in both Korean and English
  • Conduct new client intakes and assist with onboarding new clients
  • Enter and maintain accurate client and case information in our case management system
  • Assist clients with scheduling and confirming medical appointments
  • Follow up with clients regarding treatment and appointments
  • Assist clients with lost wage claims, including obtaining necessary employment and disability documentation
  • Assist clients with property damage claims following motor vehicle accidents
  • Assist with identifying, obtaining, tracking, and finalizing medical, insurance, Medicare/Medicaid, and other applicable liens
  • Schedule and follow up with client’s Independent Medical Examinations
  • Obtain necessary documents, records, and information to properly develop client files
  • Provide general administrative and paralegal support to attorneys and other members of the firm

Qualifications

  • Fluent in Korean and English — required
  • Strong communication and client-service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities
  • Professional, compassionate, and confident when communicating with injured clients

Job Type: Full-time
