Logistics Manager


The Logistics Manager is responsible for leading and managing the domestic transportation network, carrier partnerships, and logistics operations to ensure exceptional service to our client's customers while driving cost efficiencies and continuous improvement initiatives.


This position will oversee transportation planning, carrier performance, freight optimization, and strategic logistics projects across the distribution network. The Logistics Manager will work cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, Customer Service, Supply Chain, and IT to develop scalable transportation solutions that support the company's growth objectives.


Responsibilities

  • Manage all domestic transportation activities across the distribution network.
  • Develop and execute transportation strategies that improve service levels and reduce costs.
  • Oversee inbound and outbound freight operations.
  • Manage routing guides and carrier allocation strategies.
  • Negotiate rates, contracts, and service agreements with transportation providers.
  • Maintain strong relationships with asset-based carriers, brokers, and specialty furniture carriers.


Develop and maintain reporting around:

  • Freight cost per shipment
  • Freight cost as a percentage of sales
  • On-time pickup and delivery performance
  • Carrier performance metrics
  • Customer incident rates
  • Claims and damage trends
