Job description

Radiology Technologist Per Diem Radiology Diagnostic The Radiology Technologist Per Diem will: Prepare the patient for the radiographic procedure Obtain pertinent clinical information; e.g., the possibility of pregnancy, history of allergies Prepare and operate imaging equipment Ensure the proper level of supplies are stocked in the assigned room on a daily basis Accurately produce radiographs that are able to be adequately interpreted by Radiologist Assist the Radiologist during invasive and interventional procedures practicing proper sterile technique Document in the patient's chart Oversee Student Radiologic Technologist's activities when a student is assigned to the same work area. Requirements: Requires a current New Jersey license to practice Radiologic Technology. Requires a working knowledge of the X-Ray and computer technology normally found within the Radiology Department

Possesses the sensitivity and skills to effectively interact with patients, Physicians, Hospital employees and students. Possesses good reading and deductive skills in order to ascertain Physician's requests and solve problems. Possesses the ability to think and move quickly in order to deliver quality and efficient patient care.

BLS Certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association. We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.

The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
