Position Summary:
  • Performs radiographic examinations proficiently while following established protocols for patient positioning, equipment operation, image receptor selection, and radiographic techniques.
  • Utilizes digital imaging and information systems, including RIS, Synapse, and PACS, to accurately document, verify, code, and transmit imaging studies and required records.
  • Ensures patient safety and quality care by verifying patient identity and orders, assessing patient conditions, applying radiation protection standards, and adjusting technical factors appropriately.
  • Maintains compliance with ACR, state, and departmental quality assurance standards through accurate documentation, QA/QC monitoring, and review of imaging quality and workflow processes.
  • Demonstrates professional communication and teamwork while maintaining organized work areas, managing supplies, completing paperwork accurately, and supporting continuity of patient care.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education - Graduate of recognized, approved AMA Council of Education program in radiologic technology.
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.).
  • Certification as Medical Radiological Technologist (M.R.T.) by the State Medical Board.
  • Current CPR and AED certification.

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, and clinical staff while building positive working relationships.
  • Demonstrates independent judgment and problem-solving skills, including the ability to assess needs, develop solutions, and make decisions that support optimal outcomes.
  • Highly organized, results-oriented professional with strong multitasking abilities and a focus on delivering accurate, timely, and high-quality work.
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication as well as basic computer applications, including word processing, internet use, and email.
  • Preferred qualifications include two years of radiology experience, a bachelor's degree in a science-related field, and prior bone density training.

COMPENSATION & TOTAL REWARDS:
The hourly range for this position is $25.00-$40.00 Final determinations may vary based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, geographic location etc. Final compensation is determined based on education, experience, certifications, and geographic factors.
