Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs), coding software, and billing systems is essential. Strong attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work independently are standout soft skills in this flexible role. These competencies ensure accurate coding, compliance with regulations, and efficient reimbursement processes for healthcare organizations.
