The Opportunity
The Britton Group is seeking a PeopleSoft HCM Developer to support the deployment and sustainment of a new PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) environment for an Intelligence Community customer.
This role focuses on the technical development, configuration, and customization of the PeopleSoft platform to support enterprise workforce management capabilities. The selected candidate will assist in the installation, configuration, and deployment of a new PeopleSoft HCM implementation, while collaborating with engineers, developers, and mission stakeholders in a secure, agile environment.
While the initial focus of this effort is the PeopleSoft HCM suite, candidates with broader PeopleTools development and PeopleSoft platform experience across other modules are strongly encouraged to apply.
This position requires a technically skilled developer capable of translating business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable PeopleSoft solutions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, configure, and enhance PeopleSoft HCM functionality using PeopleTools and related development technologies
  • Design and implement system components using Application Designer, SQR, PeopleCode, and SQL
  • Support the installation, configuration, and deployment of a new PeopleSoft HCM environment
  • Develop custom objects, reports, and integrations to support mission and business requirements
  • Document system designs, technical configurations, and development activities
  • Collaborate with cloud engineers, application developers, and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure and reliable system operations
  • Troubleshoot system issues and implement solutions to improve system performance and stability
  • Support system testing, debugging, and deployment activities in an agile development environment

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience)
  • 3+ years of experience developing or supporting PeopleSoft environments (multiple experience levels may be considered)
  • Experience with PeopleSoft development tools, including:
    • Application Designer
    • PeopleCode
    • SQR
    • SQL / SQL Developer
  • Experience supporting PeopleSoft implementation, upgrades, or operations and maintenance activities
  • Experience configuring or developing within PeopleSoft or comparable Oracle enterprise platforms
Desired Experience
  • Experience supporting PeopleSoft HCM modules
  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft integrations, reporting tools, and data management
