Title:

Senior Peoplesoft Developer

Location: St. Paul, MN
Duration: 6+ months
Description:
  • Manage respective PeopleSoft development to deployment including driving all related project tasks, objectives and milestones
  • Direct and guide PeopleSoft 9.2 development decisions as they related to the client business processes
  • Report status to Project Management Office (PMO) team
  • Provide project estimates for changes in business process and / or additional new functionality
  • Track, escalate and document project risks, issues, decisions and changes to development scope
  • Provide input and research into project recommendations and decisions
  • Work with software vendor to submit defects in delivered functionality
  • Provide other project related experience as necessary
  • Create, document and track issues and resolution
  • Provide input and review of complex system modifications
  • Complete technical specification documentation per standards
  • Review functional specification requirements, design, and business processes to ensure alignment with information technology and business strategies
  • Provide expertise and resolution to the most complex technical design and system integration issues
  • Design, develop and test code and provide unit test scripts
  • Evaluate/implement technical solutions related to the integration of PeopleSoft with external systems such as web applications
  • Generate and execute accurate and efficient SQL statements utilizing explain plans
  • Verify technical solutions are well documented and maintainable
  • Optimize application performance using tools to analyze and optimize code
  • Perform code and design reviews for other development team members
  • Accurately prepare modifications for migration through development, system test and production environments using migration tools (e.g. Phire)
  • Discuss and explain technical implementations to project staff, business users or management, either verbally or in writing
  • Perform technical research on defect reports and enhancement requests to determine the true nature of the work required
  • Provide support for business and/or systems analysts during retrofit analysis
  • Setup, configure, or mine for test data to enable customer testing

  • Current Database (Oracle 11G - will be Oracle 12C by end of March 2017)
  • Current PeopleTools (v 8.54)
  • Future PeopleSoft version 9.2 (PUM Image 22 or higher)
  • Future Database (Oracle 12C)
  • Future PeopleTools (v 8.55.13 or higher)
  • Future System will deploy FLUID
  • Future System will deploy Elasticsearch
  • Planned Migration Tool: PHIRE
  • Planned Testing/Performance Tool: State of MN Project Management Tool/OATS

Key personnel Required Skills
  • 10 years' experience with PeopleSoft developer roles
  • 2 years' combined experience with PeopleSoft 9.2 FMS or SCM applications in a public sector environment (i.e., Federal, State, County, City, or Municipality government, or Higher Education)
  • 1 PeopleSoft version 9.2 implementation or upgrade project deployed
  • 2 years' combined experience setting up PeoleSoft Work Centers / Dashboards / Navigation Collections
  • 2 years' experience with Approval Framework Workflow
  • 1 year experience with PeopleTools 8.54or higher
  • Experience with Data Migration Workbench
  • Ability to work on-site 5 days per week

Key Personnel Desired Skills
  • Experience in full lifecycle upgrades/implementations of PeopleSoft 9.1 or higher in a public sector environment (i.e., Federal, State, County, City, or Municipality government, or Higher Education)
  • Experience with data warehouse solutions including PeopleSoft EPM and Oracle OBIEE
  • Experience with PeopleTools 8.55
  • Experience with Fluid User Interface / Branding
  • Experience with Fluid Development
